about

This album was created when composer Martin Dawagne left his native Belgium to relocate to Canada.

Born in five different North American locations, in the span of two years and over the course of two seasons, "Summer - Fall -" is the first half of Martin's personal soundtrack, after he left his country. These songs and proses are about escaping, about a love lost and found, and about the different chapters of life repeating themselves. The album was produced by Mike Tompa (Dreamhouse Studios/Merriam Studios).

At last, Yarns is inspired by the monsters that live inside each of us, and that take different forms: anxiety, depression, or any sort of mental disorder. For that reason, 50% of the album sales will be given to Hopewell Eating Disorder Support Centre‎, which provides services and supports to anyone affected by an eating disorder.

about

Yarns Ottawa, Ontario

The songs of Yarns are the musical tracings of a spirit fleeing on itself. Rather than a collection of tracks, it is succession of sound paintings and meditative prose about escapism and removal.
